CC Grant Tracker has been designed to improve dramatically upon older grant management software packages and systems. The first implementation of CC Grant Tracker was in 2006 for the Association of International Cancer Research based in St. Andrews, Scotland. CC Grant Tracker is now installed in over a dozen organisations throughout the world. This includes the management of over half of the UK health research budget and extensive work with the AMRC and the Wellcome Trust.

Automated updates are generated for appropriate personnel, documents are generated and processed using template forms, and on-line reports provide immediate access to executive management.
